The Holgate to King Street Stage 3 project consists of an overpass spanning SR 99 and a busy railroad that crosses over South Atlantic Street on the west side of Seattle’s stadiums. The new bridge relieves traffic congestion often caused by the numerous trains traveling through the city allowing trucks to easily reach the Port of Seattle.
Precast/Prestressed Girders – 45 (ea), U48PTG5 Prestressed Concrete Tub Girders, 25’ to 76’ long.
While the majority of these girders were standard post-tensioned tub girders, 12 of the girders were cast curved to a 760 foot radius.
