Columns are the vertical members that support beams or spandrels and usually bear on a cast-in-place footing. Columns can be fabricated with or without supporting corbels depending upon connection design and number of floors. Square cross-sections are most common with dimensions of 18", 24" or 30", but additional sizes are available. CTC has fabricated columns over 80' tall for multi-story buildings and parking garages. Columns are also produced for other applications such as bridges and tanks.
