The Pier 50 concrete float provides docking for passenger-only ferries in downtown Seattle. This 30’ wide x 117’ long structure can accommodate docking of two vessels and connects passengers to shore side facilities.
This monolithic float was constructed using precast concrete interior and exterior walls, with cast-in-place keel and top decks. Post-tensioning was applied longitudinally and transversely to complete the system.
