Pierce County Jail

Located adjacent to an existing jail, courts, and other county administrative offices, the 7-story Pierce County Detention and Corrections Center in Tacoma was constructed with an economical combination of precast concrete, masonry and cast-in-place concrete.

Prestressed hollow core slabs, bearing on precast beams and columns, are used for the floors; interior walls are CMU, and the exterior walls are cast-in-place concrete.
