LIFTING LOOPS

Lifting loops or other devices are necessary for removing the piles from the forms. These may also be used in the field, or they may be cut off and patched at CTC's plant prior to shipping. It is generally not necessary to cut and patch lift loops when their final position is more than 10 feet below grade or mud line. Lift loop patches should be allowed to cure at least 24 hours prior to driving. Field patching of lift loops should follow CTC's recommended precedure.
