The wide-flange girders are the same depths as the WSDOT Standard I-Girders, and incorporate the wide top and bottom flanges of the W83G Standard I-Girder.

These girder sections are more efficient than the standard I-girders, providing a longer span for the same depth, or requiring fewer girders per bridge span.
